Took's Court

The existing interior of the Grade II Listed 16 Took’s Court, had become tired and incoherent through various piecemeal alterations that had taken place over the past 30 years. TPM Studio’s brief was to refurbish the building to create a coherent, distinctive space, that emphasised the building’s heritage and rich history within the setting of one of London’s most ancient locations, Chancery Lane.

The design looked to improve connections between office areas, which where naturally cellular as a result of the buildings Georgian plan form. This was achieved through focus on updating existing internal openings within the building, as well as through the use of colour, linking bright office spaces across a central, darker circulation core.

The use of high end finishes and lighting, as well as elegant historical detailing, was used to create a distinctive environment, setting it apart from surrounding, more formulaic office spaces.
