Church Street

Proposals for the mixed-use redevelopment of the former Metaswitch site in Enfield, comprised of a significant scheme which sought to maximise the densities of the existing site, where the initial land value was high.

Located within a Conservation area, adjacent to an existing locally listed Church our proposals sought a high-quality intervention which possessed significant architectural merit, worthy of the location and setting.

In total 88 dwellings of varying size were positioned across three blocks. The premium apartments were carefully located to enjoy views across the Canal, Gentlemen Row and the nearby golf club.

The striking form and approach to massing was informed by the densities of the existing offices, adjacent building structures, including the Church and the requirement to extrapolate the maximum potential value the site offered.
