Bull Lane involved the design of a new-build dwelling within the site of the clients existing property.
The rural setting and local vernacular have informed the building typology which takes the form of an extruded gable roof with projecting rear extension.
A standing seam roof envelopes the upper storey, comprising the main sleeping area, whilst handmade brickwork clads the living space to the lower storey. Dormers, of varying size, punctuate the roof line and provide daylight to bedrooms areas, as well as access to external terrace space.
Natural materials and discreet detailing result in an elegant family home that both responds to and compliments its surroundings.
