The brief for Bovill Road entailed a request for additional living space at the rear of the property.
The proposals took the form of a faceted roof extension providing gallery space to the rear along with a master suite contained within a more conventional dormer extension at loft level.
The new standing seam clad volumes derive their form from both the neighbouring roofscape and the desire to maintain the existing building profile to the rear gardens. Large windows and roof lights punctuate these volumes, flooding the internal spaces with light.
Exposed brickwork and natural timber finishes add a warm accent to the contemporary minimal material palette, unifying both new and existing spaces.
